Goal: To design a website to guide young and adventurous individuals for their next camping trip.

Outcome / opportunity: With research drawn from travel and adventure websites such as Next Meridian Expedition and Trek Ningaloo,. The opportunity was to design a website that felt as immersive and image-driven as the destinations it promotes. The key feature developed was an interactive brochure-style map, allowing users to explore camping locations state by state, opening and flipping as if the audience were holding a physical map themselves. This gave the opportunity to combine strong imagery with an interactive, memorable navigation experience that stands out from typical travel website layouts.

Skills used: Skills were developed throughout the design process, starting with research and competitor analysis, moving through low-fidelity sketching, before developing into high- fidelity prototypes in Figma. This included building a style guide, defining typography, colour palette, and interactive components such as buttons and icons. The final product was then developed in Webflow, translating the Figma prototypes into a responsive website. Throughout the process, skills in visual hierarchy, grid structure, UX flow and interaction design were applied to ensure the website felt engaging across both executions.
